We have been on vacation this week. Since Connor liked the beach so much last year, we decided to go back again this year and he loved it. We left Friday evening in hopes of driving a couple of hours, staying a hotel and then driving the rest of the way in on Saturday to make it an easier, not so long trip. We were at our condo by noon on Saturday and immediately hit the beach.
Connor and I went down to the beach on Sunday morning and watched the sun rise, then we spent most of the day at the beach, just playing, digging and walking.
Monday was a little windy and the water was rough due to a hurricane that was out in the ocean but we didn't let it stop us. We went down to my SIL's condo and spent the day with them on the beach and in the pool. We had a great day!
Tuesday it was windy and rainy, so we went to the mall to walk around. We went in the Bass Pro Shop to show Connor the fish and while walking thru the turn stalls to get into the store, it bounced back and hit him right in the eye....the kid instantly had a black eye. I felt so bad for him, but he kept showing everybody his black eye!
We spent Tuesday night, eating dinner, eating ice cream and walking around Barefoot Landing since the rain had stopped. It was a really good vacation, but we were so glad to be home and sleeping in our own beds.
Oh and Connor slept in a regular twin size bed while we were there. He never fell out of it and he never offered to get up until it was morning. Maybe that means he is ready for his own big boy bed here at home.

So glad to hear you all had a great vacation despite the hurricane weather!! :) Hate to hear Connor got a black eye while on vacation, poor babe. Hope its healing well.
