Here it is Labor Day weekend and I haven't blogged 1 single time since Easter....guess I am a slacker when it comes to this blog. Well, my only excuse is we have been busy and I am lazy when it comes to this blog anymore. I don't think anybody reads it anyways. But, here is an update on us.
Connor played T-ball for the first time this year. He really enjoyed it and was actually pretty good at it. His team ended up winning the championship for his league. We were so proud of him and all of his teammates.
This Summer has been really rainy here in Tennessee. We have only been to pool a handful of times. We spent one weekend in Pigeon Forge, swimming at the hotel and eating at TGIFriday's. Connor went down the slide at the hotel all by himself and really enjoyed it.
School started here 2 weeks ago. Because of Connor's birthday being past the cut-off date, he can't start Kindergarten until next year. So this year he is in K-4 (pre-Kindergarten). He was so excited to start school. I took him shopping to pick out a backpack and he chose a Batman one. I even had a special shirt made for him for his 1st day of school.
He adores his teacher and is so excited to learn to read this year!
We also took Connor to his very first Minor League baseball game. He got to watch the Bristol WhiteSox play. He sat still, watched the game and really enjoyed it.
And we took him to a Nascar race. Not his first since he has been to one before, but he really likes watching the race. He took a little friend from church and we a great time.
Well, that's my update for now. I see Fall just around the corner and some exciting things in store for our family.
