Dollywood

We decided since Connor likes trains so much that we would take him down to Dollywood.  We weren't sure if he would be scared of the train or not.  He loves to watch them go by the house and he loves to watch Thomas the Train on his dvd player in the car, but wasn't sure how he would react being so close to one.

We drove down Saturday morning and of course waited in line for what seemed like forever, then headed towards the train.  He heard it before he ever saw it and kept saying "choo choo". The train was getting ready to leave the station so we hopped on for the ride. He loved it!  He was so happy and just looking around at everything.

We got off the train and I saw that the carousel didn't have anybody waiting in line so I took him right over and placed him on a horse.  He loved that too!  As we went around he kept waving at everybody saying "Hi".  He was so funny and content. 

We walked around for a little while, found us some lunch and then Connor fell asleep in his stroller.  We walked back to the car so that he would sleep and get his nap in, then headed to the hotel.  It was so hot, we just really wanted to get into the hotel pool!

We checked in and headed for the pool!

That evening we went to TGI Friday's for dinner and Connor ate a whole bowl of  mac-n-cheese....it was a big bowl.  The boy was hungry!  We went back to the hotel and and just laid around watching tv.  Connor slept really good that night.

We got up the next morning, ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel and headed home.  This was Connor on the way home...

I think he had a good weekend.

Sunday was our 7th wedding anniversary.

Connor put together his own train the other night.  It was pretty good and yes he did it all by himself!
